Queen Of The Drag
  • Q.O.D. Only compete against the riders in your drag
  • Riders or representative will draw their draw number Friday at 5:00pm & Saturday at 9:00am. May enter on multiple horses.
  • Multi horse riders draw their number first.
  • ENTER EARLY to guarantee your spot, books close Sept 1st, in an increment of 5. We will open for late entries but they will only be accepted if we can fill a full drag.
  • Guaranteed Payout 1st $1,000.00 or a Trophy Saddle, 2nd $250 minimum. 
  • If you or your business is interested in sponsoring a drag let us know. We appreciate the support
  • In the event that all 5 riders in a drag receive a NT/Down Barrel. Each rider will receive 50% of their entry fee back $150.00
  • You may carry your time from Queen Of The Drag to the open & any other side pots you qualify for.
  • The Queen Of The Drag; race & format is the exclusive property of Load'em In The Dark Cattle Co. and is available for co-sanctioning opportunities only. Reproduction, or use of the name, branding, format is strictly prohibited. To co-sanction your event contact Shelby.
  • Draw out policy for Queen Of The Drag: Due to the format of this race, after books close there are no draw outs, a contestant is allowed to sell their spot for NO CHARGE. You must notify Shelby of this change by September 3rd at noon. After that time no changes are to be made.
  • To be eligible for average prizes you MUST run or carry to the open both Friday & Saturday
  • All sidepots  (tween, youth, middle, senior, futurity, & derby) are CARRY ONLY
Other Race things to know:
  • Draw out policy excluding Q.O.D.: The contestant is responsible for 30% of their entry fee plus their office fee. Non notified draw outs are responsible for 100% of their entry fees & office fees.
  • Time only: $5, they are presold on the above link. They are non-refundable. In the event you can't make it your welcome to sell them but must notify Shelby.
  • Open, $1,000 added/day, 0.5 splits, 5D, $100 ef/day, 70% payback
  • Tween, Youth, Middle, Senior, Futurity, Derby ALL $50 ef, 4D, 0.5 Splits, 80% payback
  • Cash Average: 5D, Equal Pay, $200 entry fee, 80% payback 
  • Prizes Awarded in the average from Friday & Saturdays open.
  • Double runs: will be allowed for riders in Friday's open to carry to Saturday's open. Saturday double runs will carry back to Friday's open.
